Desc: Ashiq: Directed by Xiangcheng Liu. With Xiangcheng Liu. This film records about life of Ashiq, the Uighur bard who lives in southern border area of Takla Makan Desert. Unlike traditional life of Sufeiyah in Islam society, Ashiq has various jobs to support himself. However he still lives his life traditionally, as did his fore-fathers. This documentary covers the whole aspect of Ashiq's life and includes the challenge faced by the young generation in the city.
